Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Rome, Italy:  Depart 18.00

On arrival in Rome, you will be transferred to the port at Civitavecchia to board the magnificent 4 Star MSC Divina. Set sail for the Spanish coast in the evening.

Day 2: At Sea:

Day 3: Valencia, Spain: Arrive 08.00 –  Depart 19.00

For many, Valencia’s enviable perch on the Mediterranean Sea would be enough of a draw in itself. Spain’s third-largest city and one of the main ports of call on an MSC Mediterranean cruise, Valencia has finally shaken off its former slightly provincial reputation.

In the last decade and a half, the vast, iconic Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias cultural complex has been established, the state-of-the-art metro has continued to expand and dozens of hip new bars, restaurants and boutiques have injected new life into the historic centre. Valencia has also fully redeveloped its beach and port area, as is evident even from your cruise ship.

Day 4: At Sea:

Day 5: Lisbon, Portugal:  Arrive 08.00 –  Depart 18.00

Strung out over a series of hills facing the glistening waters of the broad estuary of the Tejo, Lisbon is one of Europe’s most handsome cities. Although its modern suburbs are ungainly, the historic centre is relatively compact and easy to explore in just a day when your MSC cruise takes you to the Lisbon.

The oldest part of the city, the warren of streets that make up the Alfama, sits below the spectacularly sited Moorish Castelo de São Jorge, its ruined walls facing another hill, the Bairro Alto or upper town, famed for its bars, restaurants and vibrant nightlife. The valley between these hills makes up the Baixa., or lower town.

Day 6: At Sea

Day 7-8: Ponta Delgada, Azores: Arrive 08.00 – Overnight – Depart 18.00

In Ponta Delgada , as you will realize when you arrive to the island of São Miguel during your holiday to the Azores with MSC Cruises, the wind is always blowing and white clouds quickly alternate with brilliantly blue skies.

While still on board, you will be able to admire the imposing Forte de São Brás, dating to the 1300s, which overlooks the docks. Once disembarked, you will have the chance to get a closer look at it. The centre of Ponta Delgada boasts two must-see places of worship, the Church of Sao Jose and the cathedral Igreja Matriz de Sao Sebastiao (began during the Renaissance but with 18th century interiors), and a curious triple arch nearby called Portas da Cidade (1783). This gate is all that remains of the defensive wall that protected Ponta Delgada up to the early modern age.

Days 9-13: At Sea

Day 14: Bridgetown, Barbados:  Arrive 08.00 –  Depart 18.00

Bridgetown is the capital of Barbados and has a population of about 80 000. Bridgetown was originally named “Indian Bridge” for the bridge which had been constructed over the river (now known as the Careenage) by the Amerinidians. It was later called the “town of St. Michael” in official documents, before eventually changing it’s name to Bridgetown. This historic city and its nearby Garrison are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore this beautiful town which is steeped in history and sunshine.

Day 15: Fort-de-France, Martinique Arrive 08.00 –  Depart 17.00

Fort-de-France, also known as the Fort of France, lies on Martinique’s west coast at the northern entrance to the large Fort-de-France Bay, at the mouth of the Madame River. The city occupies a narrow plain between the hills and the sea but is accessible by road from all parts of the island. Architectural attractions of the city include Fort Royal (Fort Saint Louis), dating from 1638; the Palais de Justice, and the Cathédrale Saint-Louis with its distinctive spire. The intricate Romanesque Bibliothèque Schoelcher is a highlight.

Day 16: Philipsburg, St. Maarten: Arrive 09.00 – Depart 18.00

There is so much to explore on the island of St. Maarten. Indulge in some duty-free retail therapy, saunter along the beaches, or visit Cupecoy Beach’s cliffs and caves.

Day 17: San Juan, Puerto Rico: Arrive 07.00 – Depart 02.00

San Juan is a major metropolis, radiating out from the bay on the Atlantic Ocean that was discovered by Juan Ponce de León. Today, San Juan is known as La Ciudad Amurallada (the walled city) and is one of the biggest and best natural harbors in the Caribbean and is the second oldest European-founded city in the Americas. This sublime Caribbean city has so much to offer we gave you an entire day.

Days 18-19: At Sea

Enjoy your final day at sea taking in all of the fantastic facilities of the MSC Davina. Relax or take part in the many activities onboard while your cruise ship takes you to your final destination, Miami.

Day 20-21:  Miami, Florida: Arrive 07.00

Your cruise ends today with your arrival in Miami. Disembarkation begins after breakfast, when you will be transferred to your 4 star Miami hotel where you will spend 1 night. It will give you time to explore this amazing and vibrant city before you fly home. We will then ask you to meet our return airport transfer for your homeward overnight flight to Dublin.
