Day to Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Dublin to Shanghai, China:
Depart from Dublin on your overnight flight to Shanghai with Emirates.
Day 2: Dublin to Shanghai, China:
On arrival in Shanghai, after your overnight flight, you will be taken to a 4-star hotel in the city for a one night stay.
A birds-eye view of the iconic colonial riverfront promenade, The Bund, from the Shanghai World Financial Centre will surely be one of the highlights of your Asia cruise.
Day 3: Shanghai, China:
In the morning you will be transferred to the port to board the magnificent Celebrity Millenium and get settled. The ship departs in the early evening on her voyage of the far east!
Located at the mouth of the Yangtze River, this seaport is a vigorous modern metropolis with a rich Chinese heritage. Your trip to Shanghai is not complete without strolling the Bund, a colonial-era street with neoclassical and art deco architecture, or visiting the Jade Buddha Temple or the beautiful Yu Gardens. Don’t forget to stop and pick up authentic Chinese souvenirs in the Old City God’s Temple Market.
Day 4: At Sea
Get closer to the stars at the Rooftop Terrace on our top deck. Catch an alfresco movie in chic, intimate surroundings accompanied by themed drinks and snacks.
Day 5: Seoul (Incheon), Korea:
This city is a mix of modern skyscrapers, ancient palaces, Buddhist temples and tranquil gardens. Go sport fishing by day then be dazzled by silk-covered lanterns at night.
Day 6: At Sea:
For big, bold flavours, try Tuscan Grille – our speciality ristorante and enoteca. Regional Italian wines, succulent dry aged steaks, and outgoing service give Tuscan Grille its rustic charm.
Days 7-9: Beijing (Tianjin), China:
Retrace the footsteps of the last Emperor through the maze of corridors in the Forbidden City. Be inspired and make a pilgrimage to the Great Wall, visible from space.
The sixth largest city in the People’s Republic of China, Tianjin is the home of the respected Beijing opera and the Monastery of Deep Compassion, a leading Buddhist shrine. Don’t miss the Tianjin Eye while here in port. It’s a 390-foot tall Ferris wheel built right above the Yongle Bridge. You can also hunt for silverware, porcelain, clocks and memorabilia in the Antique Market and visit the iconic Tianjin Museum, whose architecture mimics the shape of a swan spreading its wings.
Day 10: At Sea:
On your cruise, make sure you take in a show in our Main Theatre. Cutting-edge productions from fairy tales to comedies, stadium-style concerts to musical theatre. There’s something for everyone.
Day 11: Jeju, Korea:
This tropical island enchants with its sandy beaches and swaying palm trees. Need a break from your beach towel? Waterfalls, scuba diving, hiking and festivals galore will keep you busy.
Day 12: At Sea:
Our ice-topped Martini Bar is the hub of our fourth deck, and the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks. Choose your favourite from our menu of classic and contemporary martinis.
Day 13-14: Kobe, Japan:
At 354ft, Kobe Port Tower is an iconic landmark offering heart-stopping views from its upper deck. If heights are not your thing, sample the local speciality – teppanyaki-grilled kobe beef.
Perched on a hillside overlooking the sea, Kobe is one of Japan’s most attractive and cosmopolitan cities. Home of the heralded Kobe beef, this small city is easily navigated. Visit the Hatsukura Sake Brewery Museum for a tour or dine in one of the area’s incredible restaurants.
Day 15: Mount Fuji (Shimizu), Japan:
On clear days, particularly in winter, Mount Fuji (Fuji-san in Japanese) is visible from as far as Tokyo, 60 miles away. When capped with snow, it’s a picture-perfect volcanic cone.
Days 16-17: Tokyo (Yokohama), Japan:
Tokyo may be among the largest cities in the world, but it still maintains its charm. In the towns and villages you’ll get a glimpse into Japan’s rich culture.
There aren’t many places on Earth that blend ancient tradition and the ultra modern quite like Tokyo. Centuries-old gardens and cobblestone laneways live in perfect harmony with soaring skyscrapers and dazzling neon lights. Get immersed in an unrivalled dining scene, fashionable boutiques, and endless cultural encounters in this ever-evolving city.
Following disembarkation, you will be transferred to the airport to get your flight home to Dublin.
