Day 2: At Sea:

Your first day onboard is spent at sea, cruising to your first port of call, Casablanca. Take some time to explore the ship and get acquainted with your surroundings.

Day 3: Casablanca, Morocco: Arrive 08.00 Depart 18.00

Forever immortalized by the classic movie of the same name, Casablanca is Morocco’s modern metropolis.

Casablanca grew rapidly from a small settlement into a sprawling city of three million and even though it is not one of the famous imperial cities, Casablanca offers visitors a rare experience.

Everything is bigger here: the streets, the hotels, the office blocks and the slums. The people themselves say that; “Casablanca has no memory and no past, only a future.”
A rich heritage of Art Deco architecture fused with North African elements acts as a tangible reminder of the city’s French colonial past.

Day 4: At Sea:

Norwegian Spirit has activities onboard to suit everyone. With numerous places to eat, drink and play you are sure to find something to entertain you on your time at sea.

Day 5: Las Palmas, Canary Islands: Arrive 08.00 Depart 18.00

Founded in 1478, today Las Palmas is a bustling, cosmopolitan city with plenty of Spanish ambience, culture and history to go around. Take a scenic drive through the Angostura Valley for an unforgettable experience. Explore more of Las Palmas on a European cruise!

Day 6: Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands: Arrive 08.00 Depart 16.00

Located at the eastern tip of the island of Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, Santa Cruz is a natural cruise destination as over half of its perimeter is shoreline. The beaches are lovely at that, from the yellow sands of Las Teresitas to the black sands of the quieter, clothing-optional Las Gaviotas. There’s also plenty to do and see inland, especially if you’re here during the spectacular Carnival.

Day 7: Funchal, Madeira: Arrive 08.00 Depart 18.00

Blooming with beautiful flora, discover Funchal’s colourful botanical gardens and flower markets. If you’re feeling adventurous, take the cable car up to the hilltop town of Monte, then the famous toboggan run back down again.

Day 8: At Sea:

After your time exploring the islands, this day at sea offers you a perfect chance to relax and watch the world float by as you cruise to your next port, Malaga.

Day 9: Malaga, Spain: Arrive 07.00 Depart 17.00

Fantastic beaches nestled between the mountains and the sea

Nestling between the mountains and the sea, Malaga, on Spain’s east coast, is known as the capital of the Costa del Sol.

This region has long been popular with holidaymakers who are drawn by the area’s fantastic beaches and made the Costa del Sol one of the most visited regions in Spain.

But this town has more to offer than just seaside and sunshine! Founded around 3000 years ago, Malaga went on to become an important part of the Roman Empire as a centre for both commerce and culture before being dominated by the Moors. Several ancient Moorish monuments remain in Malaga and the surrounding region.

Day 10: Alicante, Spain: Arrive 08.00 Depart 15.00

This Costa Blanca jewel lies between mountains and sea fronted with miles of beaches. Spanish Baroque at its finest, Cathedral de San Nicolas is well worth the stop. Discover the La Alcudia Archaeological Sites, a working dig occupied since the Stone Age.

Day 11: Barcelona, Spain: Arrive 05.00

Your cruise ends today with your arrival in Barcelona. Following disembarkation, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home to Dublin.

10 nights aboard the wonderful 4 Star Norwegian Spirit, operated by Norwegian Cruise Lines.

Hi Toni,  we arrived back last night,  it was the best cruise we have been on,  the food was excellent,  the staff  were amazing,    the ship  was great, so thank you so much for arranging everything for us,   we enjoyed revisiting the ports of call,  and the weather was quite good considering the time of year,  I think Madeira was our favourite,  the botanical gardens there are amazing, the custard tarts are too.  we both found the NCL Spirit,  excellent, the ship’s amenities were on a par with other cruise lines,  we found the food to be the best in comparison to Thomson, Royal Caribbean, Princess, & Celebrity, with whom we have travelled. The windows dining room  was  where we dined most evenings. It was a  large elegant room,  and we had a window seat each evening. Gerald is a carnivore,  and I am practically a vegetarian and the set menu catered so well for us both. The buffet  for breakfast, we were spoilt for choice the  quality of the food was superb,    the ship staff were so professional.  There was also cruise shuttle buses available in port, which were mostly free. Embarking and disembarking was quick and hassle free.

Neither of us drink alcohol,  but from talking to other passengers,   I believe drink was expensive on board,  we didn’t avail of the ships tours,  as we had been to most of the ports before and we were well prepared, armed  with the ships newsletter containing  maps and places of interest etc.    Our indoor cabin was quiet, and we heard no noise once inside.  The staff were so nice and so helpful,  when we complimented the catering officer on the quality of the food, he  thoughtfully sent a bottle of champagne and strawberries to our cabin. All in all we would travel on the NCL Spirit again.  And again, many thanks for your patience with us,  we will travel with you again in the future,

M & G Fitzgerald.
