Day to Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Bordeaux:
On arrival in Bordeaux you will be transferred to the boat where you will be able to leave your luggage and have a few hours in Bordeaux. Boarding between 6.00 and 7.00pm. Settling into your cabin. Meet the crew during a welcome cocktail reception. Dinner on board followed by an evening of entertainment.
Day 2: Bordeaux – Pauillac (3):
We will cruise down the Garonne to the Gironde before reaching Pauillac.
In the afternoon, join us for the optional excursions proposed: Visit the Médoc (only available through pre-reservation with your travel agency before your departure)—a renowned region where the most famous of all red wines in the world are cultivated. We’ll also have the opportunity to see the “must see” châteaux Lafite-Rothschild, Latour and Mouton Rothschild.
We’ll return on board for dinner and an evening of entertainment. We’ll remain in port overnight.
Day 3: Pauillac(3) – Gironde estuary – Blaye:
We’ll start sailing early this morning along the Gironde all the way to the estuary, reaching Blaye early in the afternoon. Join us on the optional excursions proposed:
The Route de la Corniche Fleurie and the Blaye Citadel.
We’ll return on board, for dinner and an evening of dancing on board. We’ll remain in port overnight.
Day 4: Blaye – Libourne or Bourg(2) – Saint-Emilion(1):
We’ll begin to cruise early this morning along the Dordogne towards Libourne. Upon arrival, join us for an optional excursion proposed: a tour of Saint-Emilion. Tonight’s entertainment will be provided by the crew. We’ll remain in port overnight.
Day 5: Libourne or Bourg(2) – Cadillac:
We’ll spend the morning cruising to Cadillac. Join us on the optional excursions proposed:
Guided tour of the Château de Roquetaillade and Cadillac.
Afterwards, we’ll return on board. The evening is free to do as you please. We’ll remain in port overnight
Day 6: Cadillac – Bordeaux:
Today we’ll continue our cruise back to Bordeaux, arriving in the early afternoon. Join us for the optional excursions proposed:
Guided tour of Bordeaux, renowned for its exceptional architectural heritage.
Afterwards, we’ll return on board for our festive gala evening and dinner.
Day 7: Bordeaux:
After one last buffet breakfast on board, we disembark for our transfer back to the airport for the return flight to Dublin.
For an optimal organization of the cruise, the organization of excursions can be modified according to the tide.
Note to coach: double-decker buses are not allowed on many roads in Gironde, including Libourne, Saint Emilion, Blaye and Cadillac.
